Our clients came to us wanting a change. Their home had lost its charm, but we saw hope and possibilities. In reigniting the appeal, we added comfort and convenience. What had been a distracting log cabin style addition is now a seamless extension to the original structure. A place they now call Bellissimo Fattoria.
Demolition started at the roof, and we hauled away log walls and years of displeasure. Building upward from the original brick floor, the project became a thoughtful, two-story sanctuary for this family. New refinements softened the transition between the stone farmhouse and the extension, making way for a new kitchen, gathering spaces, stairway, laundry and bathroom. We doubled the appeal of a single fireplace, creating access to the glow in both parts of the family room. At the roof, the chimneys were addressed to last for another century.
