Untapped Beauty

Architecture By: Mark Myers Architect

A beautiful stone structure with a 200-year-old footprint was a great starting point, but lacked common spaces for entertaining or hosting overnight guests. In addition to layout problems, the exterior stone wall leaked reliably every time it rained, and the basement was damp and cramped.

Working with an architect, we were able to find the client’s dream inside and beyond the existing walls. A new 20′ x 28′ living room is ready for holiday celebrations. With a massive extension, there are now beautiful solutions to the home’s original shortcomings. The basement, once avoided, is now a proud place of organization and function.
